My name is Jennifer, and this is my first post on my new blog. I have many thoughts and ideas that I want to share, but I thought I would start with why I decided to call my blog “Off Course Mama.” In many ways, I think it describes my life very well. My husband Joey and I do things a lot differently than many other couples. I plan on sharing more about that in future posts, but basically we do not follow the traditional gender roles in our family and that has been good for us and our kids. I am the main “breadwinner” right now, and Joey cooks, does the laundry, goes to the grocery store, and keeps the household running. He is an amazing husband and father, and our boys are growing up seeing that a man can be strong and also do tasks that moms are usually expected to do.
Through this blog, I plan on sharing about our life in hopes it might encourage others to live “off course.”
